What you need
- Your voucher or coupon with the redemption code.
- A PC running Windows with Microsoft Office installed (or installation media/installer ready).
- Stable internet to access the redemption portal.
- A working email address to receive your product key.
Tip: If Office is not installed yet, you can install it after you redeem the code — see the installation section below.

Redeem your voucher code
Redeem your voucher on a partner portal (operated by BCS-IT) to receive your product key:
Portal:
- Enter your voucher code (Gutscheincode) exactly as printed.
- Enter your email address so we can send you the product key (check spam/junk).
- Enter your name or company.
- Submit the form. You will receive the product key by email.
- Use the received product key to activate your product.
Redemption conditions
- Codes can be redeemed up to 3 months after receipt.
- Each voucher can only be redeemed once.
Install or prepare Microsoft Office
If Office is already installed, open any app (e.g., Word) and proceed to activation. If not, install Office now and then continue.
During or after installation you can change the product key inside an Office app under File → Account → Change Product Key.
Activate Windows
Open Settings and go to System -> Activation (on some Windows versions: Update & Security -> Activation).
Select Change product key, enter the key you received, and follow the prompts. Make sure the Windows edition matches your license (e.g., Home vs Pro).

- Open File → Account and verify the status shows “Product Activated”.
- Optional: Sign in with a Microsoft account to sync settings and templates (not required for activation).

“This key has already been used”
Ensure you entered the correct key from the redemption portal, not the voucher code. If the error persists, contact support with your voucher code and key.
Cannot reach activation server
Check your internet connection and try again later. If the issue persists, contact support with your voucher code and product key.
Wrong product edition
Make sure the installed Office edition matches the license. If needed, uninstall conflicting trials and reinstall the correct edition.
Installation ID/Confirmation ID mismatch
Doubleβcheck that you read the Installation ID correctly. If you must retry, request a new Confirmation ID from the automated system.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the voucher valid?
The voucher must be redeemed within 3 months of receipt. After redemption, the product key does not expire but follows Microsoft’s license terms.
Can I transfer the license to another PC?
Depending on the license terms of your product, you can usually transfer it to a new device after uninstalling from the old one.
Do I need a Microsoft account?
No account is required to activate. A Microsoft account is optional for features like OneDrive or settings sync.
Is my data safe during redemption?
Yes. The portal processes only the voucher and returns the product key. You may optionally provide an email to receive a copy.
